RENTAL DURATION

24 hours from the time of pick up . Hires start and finish in the location as per the contract - should you wish to change location once the hire has proceeded a relocation charge will apply.
No refunds for hires shortened once they have commence

CANCELLATIONS

Where a booking is cancelled once it has been confirmed by a deposit a cancellation fee - equal to the initial deposit - will apply
In addition, if a hire is cancelled within 72 hours of pick up, a further charge of 3 days may apply
If for any reason we have offered a credit on unused hire days, this must be used within 18 months of original hire date.  Conditions apply.

NO SHOW

If you are a "no show" and have not notified us at least 72 hours pior to pick up of your intention to cancel, we reserve the right to charge 3 days hire in addition to your initial deposit.

INSURANCE

Full comprehensive insurance is mandatory in New Zealand and is included in our rates. This insurance covers the hirer for vehicle and any third party.
The hirer is liable for the first NZ$1000.00. We can offer a reduced insurance excess bond of NZ$250.00 for cars by paying an additional NZ$10.00 per day, and NZ$350.00 for minibuses by paying an additional NZ$15.00 per day (conditions apply).  The standard security of a credit card imprint will be returned on completion of the hirer in accordance with the rental agreement. Where there is NO credit card imprint either cash or travellers cheque to the value of the liability will be held.

Important: We do not accept responsibility for delay to travel plans due to medial / weather conditions etc and cannot stipulate the importance of having good travel insurance which will offer you good comprehensive protection in most emergency situations.
Please check with your travel agent at the time of booking flights to see what you are actually covered for.

DRIVERS LICENCE

A minimum driving age of 21 applies and all drivers must present a current full drivers licence with english translation at the commencement of hire.
No extra charges for additional drivers

CHILD AND BABY SEATS

Now compulsory in New Zealand for children under 5 . Please advise childs age so the correct size seat can be fitted. There may be a fee for the hire of these
Clients can bring there own if they wish to do so

SKI RACKS AND CHAINS

Ski racks and chains are available from the South Island Branches during the winter months. Please reserve at the time of making a reservation.

PAYMENTS

A 10% deposit is required to secure a booking, balance of payment is required on commencement of each hire.
Full payment is required at the time of booking all train and ferry reservations.
Preferred payment is by Visa / MasterCard / American Express/ Cash / Bank Drafts
